Mission Statement

The Dominican Ecclesial Institute seeks to promote Catholic intellectual life for the good of the Church, in the tradition of the Dominican Order through:
  • EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS of lectures, classes, and series, on Theology and Ministry.
  • PUBLIC DISCOURSE about Religion and Culture with the University, the state, and the Church in New Mexico.
  • RESEARCH AND WRITING on Catholic issues, in association with professional organizations and critical scholarship.

With these efforts D+E+I promotes the Catholic vision of religious values, philosophical wisdom and the spiritual life.

Dear Friends,

In St. Paul's letter to the Romans he writes "Be transformed by the renewal of your mind" (12.2). Our hope is that you will find in D+E+I a valuable help in fostering your adult faith.
fr. Michael Demkovich, O .P.

Founding Director D+E+I
