LUMEN GENTIUM AWARDS |
In keeping with its mission of supporting and encouraging adult formation in the parishes of the Santa Fe Archdiocese, D+E+I annually presents the Lumen Awards:
While teachers, facilitators, and program leaders are obvious nominees, we also want to recognize the hospitality ministers who ensure adults feel welcome, the secretaries and receptionists who invite and encourage registrations, and volunteers who promote events and programs. We are currently accepting nominations for the 2012 Lumen Gentium awards. If you know of someone in your parish who is deserving of this recognition, complete the Nomination Form and return it to our offices by the due date. The Lumen Gentium awards will be presented at the High Desert Tea on April 29th at the Sheraton Uptown. |
The Dominican Ecclesial Institute is accepting nominations for the annual Lumen Gentium (Light of the Nations) Awards. Inspired by the call of Vatican II, this award furthers the recognition of the vital role of the laity in the leadership and ministry of the Church. The Lumen Gentium Award recognizes women and men who foster the continuing formation of adult believers. Past recipients of the Lumen Gentium Award have included both catechetical professionals who are responsible for conducting programs and support staff/volunteers who encourage adult participation and provide hospitality and support. If you know of someone in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe who should be recognized for their ministry in adult formation, D+E+I invites you to submit their name for consideration. We are accepting nomination forms from lay persons and from Pastors, Parochial Vicar, and Parish Life Coordinators. Nominating forms should be completed and returned to the D+E+I offices by February 15, 2012. The D+E+I Lumen Gentium Award Committee will announce the Lumen Gentium recipients in early March. Thank you for your support of adult Catholic faith formation in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, together with D+E+I. See www.d-e-i.org for more information on the works of D+E+I. |
